HI
I want to use an external I2C controlled digital potentiometer to control the output voltage of TPS62300. For my application the VIN/AVIN pin (input voltage) is 5V. and the nominal output voltage is 2.5V and I want the range of 2.0 to 3.0V.
I am using the Maximum IC 5419 (powered with another system 2.5V rail) that is full range 0 to 200K digital potentiometer. with R2 fixed at 120K Ohms (as recommended in the datasheet), and fixed R1 of 280K, I will put this digital potentiometer part in series with R1 to give me a additional variable 200K resistor that will get me the voltage range I am looking for (from 280K to 480K)
The digital potentiometer resistor connect pins (High side, Wiper, Low side) can only take voltages up to their power rail (2.5V), so my question is what will be the maximum level of voltage at all times that the TPS62300 will present on the ADJ and the FB pins with a 5V input and 2.0 to 3.0V output ? Is that below or above 2.5V ?
